Special topic: Buffett's 2024 shareholders 'meeting hits heavily
Buffett briefly talked about the future of Berkshire Hathaway without him at the helmsonicblockchain, and pointed out that although he still feels he is qualified for the job, his elderly age is equally important.
"We'll see how Berkshire's next management plays a role,(but) fortunately, you won't wait long."
He added: "I shouldn't have accepted any four-year employment contract at an age where you're not quite sure where you'll be in four years."
Buffett, who will turn 94 in August, has named Greg Abel, vice chairman of non-insurance businesses, who sat next to him on Saturday, as Berkshire's CEO. But investors doubt whether Berkshire's shares can maintain the same valuation over the long term without Buffett taking the helm and making major investment decisions.
